The Effie Awards, celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, will honor the most impactful marketing communications campaigns released September 1, 2017 through August 31, 2018. This year’s awards celebrate “ideas that work,” and include four special recognitions for excellence in use of behavioral science, gender diversity, responsible consumption, and innovation in marketing measurement.
We are pleased to announce that Executive Creative Director Kirsten Modestow will return as a first round judge to the Effies this year. Round One judging begins on Wednesday, November 14th at the Aloft Boston Seaport. Kirsten joins a team of fellow branding and advertising executives to help decide which entrants move onto the final round. All finalists will earn points towards their Effie Index — the only global ranking of marketing communications effectiveness.
“I’m excited to return to the Effies,” said Kirsten Modestow. “It’s inspiring to see strategically smart work that resonates and makes a mark. Effectiveness has never had a bigger role in advertising, and I look forward to seeing how this year’s entries reflect that.”
The Effie Awards are known by advertisers and agencies globally as the preeminent award in the industry, and recognize any and all forms of marketing communication that contribute to a brand’s success. We were excited to win a Silver Effie for our contributions to SVEDKA’s Voted #1 Vodka of 2033 campaign.
