Collaboration
In 2022, VOLCANNX engaged us to develop custom packaging artwork for a handful of new strains, including Jealous Bananas and Shortcake. The goal was to ensure our artwork aligned with the brand’s unique collage style and established aesthetic. We also created a series of social templates for new strain launches, promotions, and swag giveaways.
Approach
We started by studying the key components of the existing packaging artwork — to ensure our artwork seamlessly fit into the existing family of products. As we developed artwork for each strain we pulled inspiration from the strain lineage and the unique characteristics and effects of the strain. We used a combination of custom illustrations and stock imagery to create elaborate layered collages. Each piece of artwork has hidden elements creating a unique experience for each consumer.
