Here at BRIGADE, we jumped for joy when Weleda North America asked us to create a line of Limited Edition hand cream packaging for the holiday season. Weleda’s Skin Food is an office favorite for keeping our busy hands protected all year long, but these creams are especially great for chilly, dry New England winters.

Our marching orders were to create something fun, colorful, and visually-arresting on shelf, while staying true to the brand’s unique heritage. Founded in Switzerland in 1921, Weleda uses natural ingredients they grow in their own gardens to make nourishing products that help the body heal.

Inspired by Weleda’s commitment to natural wellness, we designed this packaging as an homage to a natural winter landscape filled with beautiful winter plants like juniper and pine, and majestic animals like snowbirds and deer. The intricate line drawings on watercolor felt like the perfect intersection of vintage and contemporary. When lined up together as a family, the snow drifts stretch across all the packages, tying them together visually.
